Ways teachers use it

  • Transitions: 2–3 minutes to clean up, line up or switch stations.
  • Independent work: 10–20 minute blocks with the ring showing how much is left.
  • Think-pair-share: 1 minute think, 2 minutes pair, then share.
  • Tests and quizzes: run the full period in full screen so everyone sees the same clock.
  • Brain breaks: a 3–5 minute movement break with an upbeat sound at the end.

For younger students, the visual timer shows a colored disc that shrinks, so kids who can't read a clock yet can still see time running out.

Questions

Are there ads on the classroom timer?

No. The classroom and visual timers stay ad-free, so nothing pops up in front of your students.

How do I make it fill the projector screen?

Press Full screen or the F key. The settings hide and the ring and digits scale to the screen. Press Esc to exit.

Can I use a quieter sound for the end of an activity?

Yes. Choose Chime or Owl hoot for a gentle ending, or Silent to have the digits flash with no sound. Use the volume slider to set it before class.

Will it work on a Chromebook or smartboard?

Yes. It runs in any modern browser, Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, with nothing to install and no login.
